Although roots of the Renegades Tube Team can be traced back as far as 1999, the team was officially formed in the summer of 2003, by Burley, Mickey, Parr, Johnny, and Matt. Since the team has led over 8 years of revolution and innovation behind the boat, constantly pushing the envelope. Riding under the production of EY!Vision Entertainment the era of performance tubing is underway.
In the winter of 2005 the Renegades became officially sponsored by O'Brien Water Sports. The Renegades performed in O'Brien Water Sports 2007 Product Demo, O'Brien Water Sports 2009 Tube Demo, O'Brien Water Sports 2010 Tube Instructional Video and 220 Films' Defining Sickness 2. They starred in their first feature length film EY!Vision Renegades Tube Team Volume 1: Social Disease which was released in 2009. They starred in a second feature film, EY!Vision Renegades Tube Team Volume 2: Live Free of Die Trying, to be realeased early 2012. They are currently still sponsored by O'Brien, and recognized as their official product test team, pushing limits to make sure that all O'Brien products are the most durable, comfortable, enjoyable, and safest on the water.
The team is truly one of a kind, creating and capturing innovative tricks and violent wipe-outs that will be remember for years to come. Since the team's inception they have blazed a trail of interest in the water sport world and beyond, gathering support from many mainstream companies including FremantleMedia North America and Bogner Entertainment.
In late 2011 it was made official that the Renegades Tube Team would be starring in their own TV series coming soon!
